Plain-language summary

Projectista is a client portal for agencies and freelancers. You are responsible for the information, files, client data, and account access you add to the service. We use reasonable security and backup practices, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent retention, or complete protection against every loss, error, attack, or outage.

By signing in or creating an account, you agree to use Projectista lawfully, keep your credentials safe, avoid uploading harmful or unlawful content, and accept that essential cookies are required for login, security, and session management.

What We Collect

We collect account and workspace information you provide, including names, email addresses, organization names, client records, project records, notes, uploaded files, invoice metadata, branding settings, billing status, activity history, and support messages.

We also process technical data needed to operate the service, such as session identifiers, request metadata, timestamps, security logs, file metadata, and error logs.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the portal, authenticate users, enforce organization and client access, store and retrieve files, send transactional emails, process billing through Stripe, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use uploaded project files for advertising.

Google User Data

If you sign in with Google, Projectista accesses your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile information to authenticate you, identify your existing Projectista account, and display your account information. If you separately connect Google Calendar, Projectista accesses your primary calendar events and the authorization tokens required to maintain that connection.

Projectista uses Google Calendar data only to show your calendar events inside Projectista and, when you ask it to, create calendar events, invite the attendees you select, and request a Google Meet conference link. We do not use Google user data for advertising, credit decisions, data brokerage, or training generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

Projectista does not sell Google user data. We do not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties except: to Google when needed to perform an action you request; to infrastructure providers that host, store, secure, or support Projectista and process the data only to provide those services; when you intentionally share an event with invited attendees; when required by law or necessary to protect users, Projectista, or the public; or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets subject to this policy and applicable law.

Projectista's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Files, Client Data, and Your Responsibility

You decide what client data and files are uploaded. Do not upload sensitive, regulated, unlawful, malicious, infringing, or unnecessary information unless you have authority to do so and the service is suitable for that information.

Keep independent copies of important files and records. Projectista is not a legal archive, compliance vault, accounting system of record, or guaranteed backup service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Projectista is not responsible for business losses, lost profits, lost data, or claims caused by misuse, account compromise, user error, third-party outages, hosting failures, force majeure, or content supplied by users.

Security and Access

We use organization-scoped access controls, authenticated downloads, password hashing, session cookies, and server-side authorization checks. You must keep passwords secure, invite only appropriate users, review permissions, and promptly revoke access when someone no longer needs it.

Google OAuth access and refresh tokens stored by Projectista are encrypted at rest using authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption. Data is transmitted between your browser, Projectista, and Google over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to stored Google user data is limited through authenticated sessions, organization-scoped access controls, and server-side authorization checks. We also use secret-management, logging, backup, and operational access controls appropriate to the service.

If you believe an account, file, or workspace has been accessed without authorization, contact us immediately at info@projectista.com.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account and workspace data while your account is active and as needed to provide Projectista, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and preserve legitimate business records. Google connection details and encrypted authorization tokens are retained while the integration remains connected or until the associated account data is deleted, subject to limited backup, security, and legal-retention periods.

You can revoke Projectista's Google access from your Google Account permissions. To request deletion of your Projectista account, Google connection data, or other personal data, email info@projectista.com. We will delete or de-identify eligible data after verifying the request, except information we must retain for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or legitimate recordkeeping purposes. Residual copies may remain in protected backups until those backups expire through their normal retention cycle.

Cookies

Projectista uses essential cookies and similar browser storage only when needed for authentication, session security, redirects, and core application behavior. These cookies are required for the service to work and cannot be disabled inside the app.

We do not currently use advertising cookies. If analytics or optional cookies are added later, they should be disclosed separately and, where required, made optional.

Billing and Third Parties

Subscription checkout and billing management are handled through Stripe. Stripe may process payment and billing information under its own terms and privacy practices. Email delivery, hosting, storage, and other infrastructure providers may process data only as needed to operate Projectista.

Availability, Changes, and Liability

Projectista is provided on an as-available basis. We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue features as needed for security, maintenance, product changes, legal compliance, or operational reasons.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free behavior, fitness for a particular purpose, or guaranteed preservation of data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
